President of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Atambayev stressed that he is not going to prolong his powers and participate in presidential elections for the second term, according to the interview with the Kyrgyz TV channel.
“Presidency in Kyrgyzstan is a very difficult job... We survived two revolutions. Of course, management of this situation is a backbreaking labor,” Atambayev added.
“Recently, I held another meeting on judicial reform, and we have come to an agreement that we should try to find some solutions without changing the Constitution. Instead, we should adopt new constitutional laws or amendments to the existing laws. Changing the Constitution itself for the judicial reform is an extreme option,” he concluded.
