South Korea is interested in co-hosting a technology exhibition and a business forum for entrepreneurs in Kyrgyzstan, according to a working meeting between Minister of Economy Temir Sariyev and a delegation from Korea.
Delegates of the Ministry of Science and Technology of South Korea noticed that they have the experience of holding exhibitions in Central Asia. The Korean side is interested in its holding to provide new developments in information and computer technologies.
One of other proposals is establishment of wi-fi throughout the territory of Kyrgyzstan. South Korea is ready to provide technologies required for the process.
In addition, the delegation expressed its interest in development of livestock production and tourism. The business forum would assist to exchange views on technologies and creation of jobs.
Minister Sariyev confirmed the intention to organize a business platform in February or March 2015, which would result in signing of at least 10 agreements between businessmen of the two countries.
One of the companies of South Korea proposed a project for production of elevators and motors in Kyrgyzstan. In this regard, the Ministry of Economy proposed to consider building of an exhibition center in Bishkek.
Temir Sariyev noticed that the Ministry of Economy is ready to assist in adjustment of the above-mentioned projects, including introduction of smart readers in Kyrgyz greenhouses, search for partners, assembly of trucks, production of textiles and tourism development.
