A peaceful rally themed "I love my Prophet” took place in Bishkek on January 20.
People joined the campaign say they are against the cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad issued by French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo following deadly attack on its editorial in Paris earlier in January.
The Bishkek rally has gathered around 300 people carrying signs saying “We are against the cartoons of the Prophet Mohammad” and “Stop Charlie Hebdo.”
French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo published a picture of Mohammad weeping on its cover last week after gunmen stormed its offices, killing 12 people. The gunmen said the attack was revenge for cartoons the magazine had published mocking Islam.
