Member of the Parliament Tursunbai Bakir uulu recalled the plenary session yesterday about $5-million theft at the VIP terminal of Osh airport in December 2014. He expressed concerns over the state control of money taken out of the country.
The investigation supposes several options of those who had been able to commit the theft “but that is not the question,” the MP believes.
“Why doesn't the state control the money outflow? It is not the first robbery in Osh airport... If one takes out more than $1 million, it is necessary to carry out a relevant check,” he said.
Bakir uulu exampled the neighboring states of Kazakhstan and Russia, where examinations are conducted in case of a citizen's intent to take out a certain amount of cash.
$5 million 679 thousand were stolen from 4-5 companies. Most of them are Chinese companies which sell their goods at Kara-Suu market.
