The Internal Audit Department of the Ministry of Health conducted 44 audits in 2014. As a result, 26 healthcare workers in superior positions were dismissed, according to a report on the main outcomes of healthcare organizations for the last year.
Furthermore, the staff of the Mandatory Health Insurance Fund conducted 83 audits in healthcare organizations.
“Materials on independent financial and operational audit of the Den Sooluk (Health) National Program for 2013 were also discussed at the board of the Ministry of Health. 2 chiefs of healthcare organizations were dismissed, 6 more – reprimanded, and 24 others received rebukes,” said the statement.
The volume of documents processed in the Ministry of Health amounted to 30,506 last year, increasing by 12%. 3,015 complaints were received from citizens.
