Brussels, March 28 / Kabar /. Kyrgyzstan and the European Commission intend to cooperate in the field of information technology. This became known yesterday during a meeting of President Almazbek Atambayev with President of the European Commission Andrus Ansip, supervising the implementation of major projects in the field of information technology.
During his visit to Belgium Atambayev discussed prospects of cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and the European Commission in the field of information technology.
The President discussed with Vice President of the European Commission, the use of new technologies and data protection during the preparation and conducting the parliamentary elections in Kyrgyzstan.
The President noted the importance of effective use of modern information technologies for the development of the country.
Atambaev and Ansip agreed to organize a trip of IT experts of the European Commission to Kyrgyzstan.
