Bishkek, May 20 / Kabar/. On May 19, 2015 the World Education Forum has started in the Korean city of Incheon, where ex-president of the Kyrgyz Republic Roza Otunbaeva take part.
The World Education Forum is held annually under the auspices of UNESCO. The purpose of the Forum is the development of international approaches to the development of education and access to quality education for all countries.
Representatives of member states, heads of international organizations, as well as representatives of civil society and private sector organizations gathered to the Forum to adopt the declaration, which reflects a shared vision of education for the global community.
The Forum brings together more than 130 government ministers, along with high-level government officials, Nobel Prize Laureates, heads of international and non-governmental organizations, academics, representatives of the private sector, researchers and other key stakeholders.
UNESCO Director-General Irina Bokova, and President of the Republic of Korea, Park Geun-hye, also spoke at the opening of WEF 2015, which UNESCO is leading in collaboration with UNDP, UNFPA, UNHCR, UNICEF, UN Women and the World Bank Group.
