Minister of Labor and Social Development Kudaibergen Bazarbayev said that more than 177 million soms (about $2,337,242) were provided to the low-income families and veterans of the World War II in 2015 at the meeting with the receivers of the social benefits of Suusamyr village municipality, reports the press service of the Ministry on February 3.
There are 650 children from low-income families in Jaiyl district, and 4,657 children live in Chui region. 4.5 million soms (about $59,421) were provided to the low-income families last year. Also, more than 61 million soms ($805,490) were paid to people with disabilities, mother heroines, orphans and children, who lost their breadwinners. 42 million soms (about $554,600) were allocated to the receivers of the monthly money compensations, according to Bazarbayev.
The Minister noted that veterans of the World War II and war workers also receive benefits. He said that 160 veterans live in Chui region and they receive 10 thousand soms ($132) each month from the presidential fund and 7 thousand soms ($92) in the form of compensations as a privilege. And last year, they were paid 10 thousand soms from the presidential fund and 15 thousand soms ($198) from the government on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the end of World War II. In addition, the local authorities paid from 5,000 to 10,000 soms, stressed the Minister.
