Kyrgyzstanis will participate in the world kok-boru championship as part of the international EXPO exhibition in Kazakhstan.
More than 150 athletes from 15 countries of are planned to arrive in Astana for the competitions, the press service of the State Agency for Youth Affairs, Physical Culture and Sports said.
The national kok-boru team of Kyrgyzstan consists of 15 athletes, who are training in Issyk-Kul.
Th national team of Kazakhstan is currently a champion of Asia (2013) and Kyrgyzstan won the World Nomad Games in 2014 and in 2016.
Kok-boru is a Central Asian national game where players grab a goat carcass from the ground while riding their horses and try to score by placing it in their opponent's goal.
