Kyrgyzstan's Parliament started Friday its extraordinary session to decide on the new composition of the Government in a move came after Sooronbai Jeenbekov stepped down as a Prime Minister on Monday to run for presidency.
Speaker of the Parliament Chynybai Tursunbekov declared the session open; after his opening speech the national anthem was played.
Tursunbekov noted that the past 2 months the MPs were traveling the regions to meet with the votes and said "you've done a good job."
"As you know, Prime Minister Sooronbai Jeenbekov has resigned, which means resignation of the entire government. Therefore, President Almazbek Atambayev asked me to convene an extraordinary session of the Parliament," he reminded.
The Speaker then addressed the coalition and the Committee on Constitutional Law that they must decide on the nominated candidate after the opening.
MP Mirlan Jeenchoroyev asked to open a scoreboard for clarifying the quorum.
Tursunbekov replied that the quorum would be collected after the meeting of the coalition and the committee.
After that, he announced a break before the decision of the committee.
