A memorial historical and cultural complex "Chyngyz Ordo" will be build in the native village of national writer Chyngyz Aitmatov. The Ministry of Culture, Information and Tourism of Kyrgyzstan announced a competition for the best draft design with a premium fund of 170 thousand soms.
The complex will be located on the territory of Sheker village of Kara-Buura region of Talas oblast on 15 hectares of area. It should include such components as a museum, a monument, a conference hall, a hotel, a tea house, an entrance group, parking lots. But, depending on the intent of the authors, other objects may be offered, specified in the contest provision.
"Anyone who carries out activities in the field of architecture, urban planning, city design or landscape architecture can participate in the competition. Teams can involve specialists from other areas of activity. As part of the competition, participants should rely on the spiritual heritage left by our brilliant compatriot. When developing projects, it is necessary to take into account the presence of unique monuments of the valley - runic inscriptions, rock paintings, archeological monuments and architects," the ministry explained.
Deadline is April 20, 2018, and the results of the competitive selection will be announced the next day. The results will be posted on the Ministry's website.
