Construction of the Ak-Sai-Kishemish road started in presence of the delegations of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan led by Vice Prime Minister Abdyrakhman Mamataliyev and Deputy Prime Minister Murodali Alimardon on September 4.
Natives of the Tajik village of Tochikon, near Kyrgyz village Ak-Sai, stopped construction of the road and beat constructors on April 27.
The decision of the governmental delegations of two countries to resume construction of the road was supported by Tajik and Kyrgyz citizens.
Ak-Sai villagers allowed construction equipment to pass their territory to the construction site of the Vorukh-Isfana road.
Tajik builders will arrive today to start construction of the Vorukh-Isfana road.
