108 cars with high radiation background will be dispatched back to Japan. Press secretary of the state inspection on technical ecological safety Anarbek Avazbekov told KyrTAG on Saturday.
«Over the 8 months, in «Alamedin» customs railway station, special commission inspected 76 cars which arrived from Japan. During examination only 12 cars were found not to be contaminated and more 20 vehicles were with high radiation backgrounds. All of them are ready to be shipped back to Japan. We have already agreed with the Japanese side, and all transportation expenditures will be compensated by Japan», - said A.Avazbekov.
He says, over the 6 months about 49 thousand cars have been imported into the country, 21 thousand of them are with right wheels and over 27 thousand with left.
«Right wheel cars are imported mainly from Japan and they are examined for radioactivity by a special commission, created three years ago. According to its info, in 2012 three «radioactive» cars were found, in 2013 - 34, in 2014 - 70», - added Avazbekov.
