Construction of the Kok-Tash-Aksai-Tamdyk road in Batken region will finish in one month, Kyrgyz government’s special representative for border delimitation Kurbanbai Iskandarov said.
Construction of this road was impossible for 3-4 years over the disputable 70 ares of land, the official said.
This land used to belong to a Kyrgyz citizen, but when the old man died, his son came, who is a Tajik citizen and claimed he is the land owner.
“We were working on resolution of the situation throughout a year. The bilateral decision was made eventually and the problem was resolved. We proved this land is the territory of Kyrgyzstan. This is our land, the road construction is ongoing there,” Kurbanbai Iskandarov stressed.
