The committee on parliamentary rules and ethics has considered amendments to the provisions on public advisers and assistants of parliamentarians on November 11 to streamline their activities.
It is proposed to specify that only citizens of Kyrgyzstan can become public advisers and assistants. In addition, one parliamentarian cannot have more than 5 advisers and 10 assistants, Deputy Head of the Parliament's Administration Tajimamat Shabolotov said.
MP Bodosh Mamyrova also proposed to allow public advisers and assistants to participate in sessions on behalf of parliamentarians without the right to speak.
“If adviser or assistant speaks at the event, it will be considered as his or her opinion only. It won't be the opinion of parliamentarian,” she added.
