Kyrgyz government approves minimum standards of social services for elderly citizens

The Kyrgyz government has approved the state minimum standards of social services to be provided in elderly homes. The respective resolution was signed by Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Joomart Otorbayev.

The standards were adopted to enhance effectiveness of social protection of elderly citizens and to set requirements for services provided to elderly people in social facilities.

The Ministry of Social Development should provide necessary guidelines on application of the state minimum standards of social services.

The Social Development Division of the Prime Minister's Office will oversee implementation of the resolution.
