Kyrgyz-Russian Investment Fund will help Kyrgyzstan to become a full member of the Customs Union. Minister of Finance of the KR Olga Lavrova told journalists today.
She said that today an agreement has been signed to establish this fund. Russian Deputy Finance Minister Sergei Storchak arrived in Bishkek with this purpose.
"We all know that next year the republic will enter the Customs Union. In this connection it is necessary to align the country's economy to the level of other countries participating in the CU. The fund is created because of it. After signing the agreement during 2 years, Russian will provide funds $ 500 million.
These funds will be used to work on the adaptation of Kyrgyzstan to the Customs Union, a number of large projects will be implemenred," explained Lavrova.
The Minister noted that the first $ 100 million Kyrgyzstan will receive in April 2015.
