National Bank of Kyrgyzstan makes 39 foreign currency interventions for $390 million in 2014

The gold and foreign currency reserves of Kyrgyzstan are valued at $2.02 billion, National Bank Vice Chairman Nurbek Jenish told reporters on November 25, reports Tazabek.

The National Bank has made 39 foreign currency interventions since the beginning of the year, having used $390 million, he added.

The growth of remittances from abroad in US dollars made 2%, according to the National Bank Vice Chairman.

“In the first quarter the level of remittances was low. The second quarter saw a steady growth,” he said.
