Special equipment meant for collection of biometric data was stolen at one of the stations in the town of Kara-Kul (Jalal-Abad region), according to a board meeting on collecting progress held at the mayor's office on November 25.
Kara-Kul's mayor Mambet Koichiyev thus stressed the necessity to ensure safety of the stations to collect biometric data. There are four of them in the town.
The robbery took place at the local House of Culture, when unknown people stole the special machine, computer and other technical equipment.
“We have considered the issue of security in the areas. From now on, 4 police officers will watch the stations,” Koichiyev said but did not specify whether the equipment was found and the robberies caught.
