The final HIV-prevention campaign to raise awareness for the HIV-prevention activities in Kyrgyzstan was held on November 28 in AIDS Center in Issyk-Kul region with the support of USAID's program, the press service of the Health Ministry reports.
The representatives of seven regions and towns presented the results of 5-month work for prevention of HIV. The outstanding presenters were awarded.
The campaign was completed by a rally on the main streets of Cholpon-Ata town.
The events dedicated to the World Day Against AIDS are held in Kyrgyzstan starting from November 17.
According to the AIDS Republican Center, 5,642 HIV-positive people are registered in Kyrgyzstan as of November 1.
