Vice PM Dil, IFC regional representative discuss improvement of public administration system in Kyrgyzstan

Vice Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Valeriy Dil met with Moazzam Mekan, IFC Regional Manager for Central Asia, according to the press service of the government.

The meeting discussed enhancing ties between Kyrgyzstan and International Finance Corporation (IFC).

This collaboration aimed to improve the public administration system, financing the private projects, and other measures to improve the investment climate in the country.

Launching of the new investment projects and support in their implementation have been also voiced during the meeting.

Later that day, Vice PM Dil attended the opening ceremony of the new office of the IFC in Kyrgyzstan.

The International Finance Corporation (IFC) is an international financial institution that offers investment, advisory, and asset management services to encourage private sector development in developing countries. The IFC is a member of the World Bank Group and is headquartered in Washington, D.C., United States. It was established in 1956.

The IFC is owned and governed by its member countries. The corporation's total investments in 2011 amounted to $18.66 billion. It committed $820 million to advisory services for 642 projects in 2011, and held $24.5 billion worth of liquid assets.
