First convoy loaded with humanitarian aid – food and building materials – left the regional center of Talas for Ton district of Issyk-Kul region, said Kadyrbek Sarchayev, a spokesperson for the governor's office of the region.

Residents and organizations of four districts of the region thus helped residents of Ton district (Issyk-Kul region) affected by the recent earthquake.

10 tons of flour and more than 20 cubic meters of rafters were collected for two days. Some people provided cash assistance. Also, several hundred kilograms of rice, pasta, macaronis, cookies and 40 liters of vegetable oil were collected.

Collection of humanitarian aid for the people of Ton district continues.
